Out of this world FUN-draising festival
Discovery is excited to invite you to our Out of this World FUN-draising festival, which we are holding on Saturday 25th February.
This carnival inspired day will be dedicated to raising funds for the New Bendigo Planetarium.
Boasting a state-of-the-art dome theatre and laser projection technology, the New Planetarium will bring the Universe a little closer to people of all ages, setting off sparks of curiosity and a desire to learn about all things STEM.
Discovery will be opening its doors to one and all on 25 February – inviting you to come and share in the fun while opening your hearts and donating to our drive to build this exciting new experience.
Entry to the Centre will be free all day. We will be asking visitors to purchase tickets which they can use to take part in a whole range of activities that are out of this world like:
- Milky Way face painting
- Stellar science shows
- Make your own UFO
- See yourself walking on the surface of Mars
- Launch your own rocket
- Drive the Mars rover
- Explore the Universe
It will be astronomical!
The funds raised on this carnival Day will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous philanthropic organisation who supports Discovery’s goal to bring the Universe a little closer to Bendigo.
We are really excited about the New Planetarium -- we know that it will revitalise the whole experience at Discovery and encourage visitors to be curious and excited about science and the stars!
